About us

We create jobs that provide safe water to those who need it most. Openversum tackles the challenge of safe and affordable drinking water by combining an innovative filtration membrane system with microfranchising. We empower women water entrepreneurs with the tools and know-how to manufacture and distribute cutting-edge and resource-efficient drinking water filters to their communities. Our microfranchise is combined with a digital business support platform, so our entrepreneurs can create a sustainable business, manage their resources, and escape poverty while improving the lives of their communities. Openversum's goal is to allow millions of people to gain access to safe drinking water while creating thousands of work opportunities for local entrepreneurs in Latin America, Asia and Africa.

  • Something bold launched in Cannes. Last week, we joined five other women-led social businesses for the launch of #ReckittCatalyst — a bold, global initiative to support underrepresented entrepreneurs driving innovation in health and hygiene. Led by Reckitt and launched with Serena Williams as Entrepreneur in Residence, Catalyst is a five-year, £10M commitment to scale 200+ startups across Africa, Asia, and Latin America — improving access for over 5 million people. We’ve been lucky to partner with Reckitt since last year through their #Lead2030 initiative — and we’re incredibly excited to now join the Catalyst community. This kind of partnership — grounded in trust, visibility, and shared values — helps us go further, and build faster. To every entrepreneur working to improve health access where it’s needed most: this platform was made for you, too. 🔗 Apply here: https://lnkd.in/eCttaz4m Huge thanks to Reckitt, Yunus Social Innovation, Acumen America, Health Innovation Exchange - HIEx, and everyone working to make access equitable, dignified, and scalable. #SocialEnterprise #Health #WaterAccess

I’ve always believed in the power of vision and determination in making a positive impact. Throughout my career, I’ve seen what happens when you combine talent with opportunity— and how transformative that can be. But here’s what I’ve learned: having an idea is just the first step. The real work happens when you have the right support, mentorship and resources to bring that vision into reality. That’s why I’m proud to join Reckitt as its first-ever entrepreneur-in-residence. Together, through the Catalyst program, we’ll mentor 200 female and underrepresented founders, providing up to £10m in funding and skills-based support to help their innovations scale and close gaps worldwide. I am pleased to work with Reckitt who has funded and scaled 60 promising entrepreneurs, tackling health and hygiene challenges in 13 countries around the world, partnering with the world’s foremost impact investors to manage, scale and measure the entrepreneurs' impact in society. We need opportunities for entrepreneurs to thrive, especially women in health innovation. When given the right resources, they drive economic growth, create jobs and deliver social impact that changes lives in health and wellness. This isn’t just a title—it’s about real action. Real impact. Real change. • 💧 This #WorldWaterDay, we’re not here to talk about crisis. We’re here to talk about opportunity. We don’t need to reinvent the wheel—we already have the tools, the people, and the momentum. The real shift is in *how* we include and empower those closest to the challenge. 🤝 At Openversum, we do this through local entrepreneurs and decentralized filtrations systems. But solutions exist everywhere—it’s about connecting the dots. Today, let’s celebrate a world full of opportunity and people ready to lead change!🚀 💭 Let’s ask ourselves: how can we support them—and the communities they serve—to truly thrive? #WorldWaterDay #CleanWater #SDG6

  • Excited to Join the Villars Symposium 2025 today! The first time Openversum joined in Villars, it was thanks to UpLink - World Economic Forum, who—true to form—brought together incredible people tackling some of the world’s biggest challenges. Two years ago, Olivier continued the conversation, and this time, Laura is heading to the mountains to explore how we can scale clean water access through microentrepreneurship. The Villars Institute is bringing together experts, entrepreneurs, conservation leaders, and innovators to push boundaries and rethink sustainability. For Openversum, this means learning from and contributing to discussions on climate resilience, impact entrepreneurship, and systemic change. If you’re there, reach out— Laura would love to connect! 🚀💧 #VillarsSummit #VillarsInstitute #CleanWaterForAll
